The NBA, like it or not, is absolutely busting at the gills right now with superstar power. The exciting balance of seasoned veterans and rising superstars makes the NBA as enjoyable to follow as it ever was. Two stars however, seem to stand out head and shoulders above the rest of the bunch. LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have nearly unanimously been declared the best active players in today's professional game. At the very least, they're the biggest leviathans in their respected conferences. In addition, both have been dragged through the 'next Michael Jordan' cliche an immeasurable number of times.
Recognizing that the aforementioned behemoths are the two biggest stars in the league is easy, but decided who is the best of the two makes things a bit more difficult. Naturally, if you happen to be a Lakers fan, you're going to root for the 'Mamba'. If you're a Cavs fan, you're backing 'King James' all the way. But what about those diehards who have an overall love for the game of basketball, and want to celebrate it evenly? I'm talking about the guy in the cube next to you who has a new desktop wallpaper of a high flying dunker 'posterizing' someone new everyday.
